Privacy policy

What we process about you, why, and for how long. A product passport is about products, so most of the data here is business data and not personal data.

01Who this is

PRODUCTRA is a product of Digilution, based in the Netherlands. We are the controller for the data you register with us and the processor for the product data you provide.
Questions about this policy go to privacy@productra.nl.

02Which data we process

From an account: company name, the name and work email address of the person who manages the account, and the country your company is in. We ask for nothing more, because we need nothing more to let you log in and to invoice you.
From your collection: product data, materials, certificates, waybills, order numbers and the companies in your chain. That is business data. If a staff member’s name happens to be in a document you upload, we process it as part of that document and not as a separate item.
From a visitor of a passport: the number of times a page is opened and through which channel. We count that at product level. We do not place a cookie to follow you and we do not build a profile of the buyer.
If there is a map on the passport, your browser fetches it from Mapbox and Mapbox sees your IP address. We send no product data along and their usage measurement is off. Without a map key you get a drawn map and nothing goes outside.
From your newsletter sign-up: your email address and the date you signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time.

03Why we process it

To deliver the service: create a passport, put it live, and put a question to the right supplier or factory. Without that data there is no passport.
To invoice, because you pay per product that is live. And to warn you when a certificate expires, because a claim then loses its support.

04Who gets to see it

A brand sees what its suppliers and factories share with it, and never anything from another brand. A supplier never sees which other brands they are compared with. A factory decides for itself which customer sees which document.
The public passport shows only what the brand has released: the name of the factory, the place and the country. No contact persons, no email addresses, no response times. Those are in separate files that a public page may not load, and a check during the build fails if that happens anyway.
We do not sell data and we do not use your product data to train a model that benefits another company.

05How long we keep it

We keep an account and its product data for as long as you are a customer. If you cancel, we delete them within thirty days, except the invoices: the Dutch Tax Authority requires us to keep those for seven years.
A passport you take offline disappears from the public page immediately. The data underneath stays in your own environment, so you can put it live again.

06What you can ask

Access to what we hold about you, correction of what is wrong, deletion, and an export of your data in a readable format. Send a message and within thirty days you hear what we have done.
If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

07What is stored in your browser

This environment is a prototype. Everything you enter stays in your own browser under the key productra, and does not go to a server. If you clear the data of this site, everything is gone. There are no cookies for advertising or statistics.
